Our u3a News

We had our inaugural meeting in January 2011 and have become an active and busy u3a.
We have a wide variety of Interest Groups, with more always in the process of being formed. Details can be found on the Interest Groups page.
Please note that you cannot join interest groups or vote at the AGM unless you are a current member.
We have regular, well attended Monthly Meetings with a variety of speakers. There is always a very friendly atmosphere and all newcomers are made most welcome.

If you decide that you wish to join please come along to one of the Monthly Meetings, for which there is a £1 charge to cover costs.

Membership for 2024 is £10 per annum (£5 for October to December). If you are unsure whether or not you want to join, you can attend our Monthly Meetings once or twice at a cost of £1 per visit.

Membership Renewal 2024

Memberships expire at the end of December. Note that you cannot join interest groups or vote at the AGM unless you are a current member.

Members can pay by cheque or cash.

North East Cheshire Network
Bramhall, Cheadle & Gatley, Cheadle Hulme, Poynton, Wilmslow, Macclesfield and Stockport u3as have formed an association known as the NORTH EAST CHESHIRE (NEC) NETWORK.

Importantly, the NEC NETWORK recognises OPEN GROUPS. These are Interest Groups organised, as usual, within a particular u3a but open to all members of all the u3as in the NEC NETWORK. It is hoped that the membership of an Interest Group will increase once it has become an OPEN GROUP. So far, a number of OPEN GROUPS have been formed.
