These are gentle walks of up to 3 miles, taking approximately 1.5 - 2 hours. Walks normally take place on the 2nd Tuesday of each month starting at 10.30am. The next short walk is on Tuesday 10th February at 10.30 starting from Nelson Pit Visitor Centre and is around 3 miles long. It will go in the direction of High Lane and will be using mainly Middlewood Way and the canal. There are a couple of gentle slopes so please bring walking poles if you usually use them.
