The Liverpool trip has been postponed until later in the year because of a clash with the Eurovision Song Context
GRASSINGTON AND HARROGATE - Thursday 11th May 2023 We would leave the High School at 9.00am and travel to the lovely market town of Grassington, set in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. The town has cobbled streets fringed by shops offering local foods, speciality gifts and arts and crafts. After time to explore we would head to the beautiful Victorian spa town of Harrogate known for its grand Victorian and Georgian buildings including the Turkish Baths and the Royal Baths, parks and gardens with magnificent floral displays, quality shops and the famous Bettys tea room. We would leave Harrogate late afternoon and be back in Poynton early evening. Price: £29.50 (Includes coach and a tip for the driver) If you are interested in this trip just let me know. LIVERPOOL - to be decided We will leave Poynton High School at 9.00am and make our way to Liverpool. Not just famous for The Beatles and its music heritage, Liverpool also has the largest collection of museums and galleries in the UK outside of London. There are attractions such as; the Albert Dock, two impressive cathedrals, St Georges Hall, the Liver Building, the Liverpool One shopping Centre and many independent shops and stores. You could take advantage of the hop-on-hop-off bus tour to help you get round the city and see all the famous sites.
